This occupational series is eligible for the Student Loan Repayment Program . Repayment is limited to $5,000 annually, up to $60,000 in lifetime awards. Registered Nurse - Weekly Pay
The incumbent serves as a Nursing Assistant Home Health Aide/Homemaker in a Home Health setting and is organizationally responsible to the assigned Nurse Manager. The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care to Veterans in the home setting who require assistance with Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping duties, and meal preparation. Incumbent will function as a member of the nursing care team under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Incumbent may be asked to provide simple/light housekeeping tasks to include dust, vacuum, sweep, straighten up, wash dishes, clean the bathroom and kitchen, do laundry, dispose of trash, and change linens. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.
